DELPHOS — A Spencerville man was killed early Sunday when he was thrown from his all-terrain vehicle into a full catch basin after striking a concrete culvert.
The Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Timothy Rigdon, 55, was southbound on Kill Road on 1997 Honda ATV when he hit the culvert just south of Landeck Road at about 12:30 a.m.
Rigdon was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen County coroner.
The patrol said it's investigators believed alcohol was a factor in the crash.
