Police calls as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1 from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and Lima Police Department:



600 block of West Ford Avenue, Lima — On Tuesday, police were dispatched in reference to two people on a roof with a rifle.



1100 block of St. Johns Avenue, Lima — Early Wednesday, a woman reported her windshield was smashed while visiting a friend. She said the mother of her friend’s children is upset with her because she is dating “her baby daddy.”



2450 Allentown Road, Lima — On Monday, police arrested a 24-year-old homeless man for attempting to steal more than $200 in electronics from Walmart and then trying to fight store employees.



500 block of Nova Street, Lima — On Tuesday, a concerned citizen turned in a BB gun they had found to police.



4500 block of Bluelick Road, Lima — On Tuesday, a 56-year-old man reported a person he knows took several checks from his residence and cashed them without his consent.



400 block of West Grand Avenue, Lima — On Tuesday, a 33-year-old man reported his 47-year-old live-in girlfriend assaulted him. She was subsequently arrested for causing domestic violence.
