1210 Neubrecht Road, Bath Township — On Wednesday, a 38-year-old woman called from the Comfort Inn to report a credit card scam.


2500 Elida Road, American Township — At 7 p.m. Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office responded to three juveniles shoplifting at Macy’s.


600 block West Kibby Street, Lima — Shortly after midnight Wednesday, police responded to the report of a shooting, but in the end found no evidence of a shooting or the man who was supposedly shot. A woman called to report that a 40-year-old man who had shown up at her home drunk and causing problems had been shot in the hand by another man. When police arrived, they could not find the man, and he did not seek treatment at a hospital.


1000 block Brower Road — Police responded Wednesday morning to a report of a vehicle stolen from a garage overnight. A 31-year-old man said he left the keys in his 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt because his roommate sometimes uses the car, but he had not. The man also said the garage door has been malfunctioning and may not have closed.
