Findlay man dies in motorcycle crash

HANCOCK COUNTY - A 21-year-old man died early Friday in a motorcycle crash.


Glynn P. Putman, of Findlay, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on township Road 234, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.


The crash reported at 12:11 a.m. on township Road 234 was just south of township Road 208 in Marion Township. Putman was riding south on township Road 234 when he approached a curve in the road, the sheriff’s office reported.


Putman failed to negotiate the curve, rode the motorcycle off the road and lost control, striking a tree and small fence, the sheriff’s office reported.


The crash remains under investigation. Putman was not wearing a helmet, the sheriff’s office reported.
