LIMA A man charged with numerous counts of rape in three counties entered a guilty plea to two of the charges Thursday in Allen County.

Travis M. Quinter, 33, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape, each of which carries up to 11 years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced March 6 in Allen County Common Pleas Court.

Quinter is charged with eight counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition in Auglaize County. He has a Feb. 1 pretrial in that case.

Quinter also is charged with two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition in Mercer County. He has a pretrial scheduled for Feb. 13 in that case.

Judge David Cheney warned Quinter before he entered the plea, if convicted, he could face consecutive sentences in the three counties, meaning he has to serve one sentence after another.

Quinter told Cheney he still wanted to enter the plea.

The charges in Allen County are for the rapes of two children under the age of 13 between Nov. 1, 2011, to March 31, 2012, said Assistant Allen County Prosecutor Terri Kohlrieser.
