LIMA — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a missing person report filed with the office this week.

Detectives are now searching for Kristi Blanton Gipson, who was last seen with her husband, David Gipson, at the Days Inn Motel on state Route 81 in Lima.

According to flyers being handed out by friends and family members, the family believes she may be in danger. Allen County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Jim Everett said the office has launched an investigation looking into her disappearance and so far, it does not reveal any danger.

“The family does believe she is in danger,” Everett said Wednesday. “I spoke with detectives earlier today who believe that what they’ve found so far indicates she is not. That doesn’t mean we’re ruling that out, but that’s what we’ve got so far.”

According to a Facebook page “Missing: Kristi Manns/Kristi Blanton Gipson,” Gipson drives a Mercury Mariner, champagne in color, with the license plate 2KLB.

She lives in Gomer but works in St. Marys, according to the Facebook page. She has three young children at home, as well.

“The most important thing is that if you’ve seen her in the last week, do not hesitate to call us,” Everett said. “We’re looking to find her and find her safe.”

Everett said to call the Allen County Sheriff’s Office at 419-227-3535 if you have any information or details concerning Mann’s whereabouts.

Gipson's mother, Deb Bush, declined to comment, referring all comments to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
