LIMA - The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced the location of a previously announced OVI checkpoint today.
Patrol officers will set up a checkpoint from 9 p.m. to midnight today on state Route 309 in Allen County. The checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
There will also be "saturation patrols" to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
The patrol reminds people planning to consume alcohol to designate a driver or make other travel arrangements.
