COLUMBUS — A Bellefontaine man died Sunday after he was thrown from his pickup truck, which landed on him on Interstate 270.
Christopher D. Vance, 43, died at the scene of the crash at 3 p.m. on I-270 northbound just south of Interstate 670 in Mifflin Township, according to the Franklin County sheriff’s office.
The pickup drifted into the median and struck the guardrail and a concrete support post before flipping several times. Deputies said Vance was not wearing a seat belt.
The freeway was closed for several hours after the accident.
