LIMA — A Knoxville bonding company is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in Tennessee on a felony drug charge.
Garfield Heinzly Blake, 22, is wanted on the drug charge of drug free school zone violation. He also has a series of outstanding lesser charges, said Kenneth Holmes of Tennessee Bonding Co. in Knoxville.
Blake should be considered armed and dangerous. He is a step above the street-level dealer, Holmes said.
Holmes has tracked Blake to Lima and has been told Blake is dealing crack cocaine in the area. He may have been staying with two other men on West Ashton Avenue.
When Holmes raided the house, they did not find Blake but found the two other men and a semi-automatic rifle, which one of the men should not have because he was on probation in connection with a homicide eight years ago, Holmes said.
Numerous people have spotted Blake around town. He’s been seen at various convenient stores, fast-food restaurants and a movie theater, Holmes said.
Blake’s other connection to this area is his girlfriend, Deadra V. Smith, 23, who also is wanted locally on an outstanding traffic warrant, according to Holmes and Lima Municipal Court records.
Blake is 5-foot 10-inches tall, weighs 165 pounds and has tattoos on his wrists, one that reads “Dulce” and the other reads “RIP.” Anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact the Lima Police Department at 419-227-4444 or Tennessee Bonding at 865-964-5150. A reward will be offered for information that leads to Blake’s capture, Holmes said.
