LIMA - Lima Police Det. Kent Miller confirmed Thursday that a robbery that supposedly happened earlier in the week did not occur.

A Lima police report said a woman was robbed at gunpoint in her car around 11 p.m. Monday night by two men. Not only did the robbery never happen, but thereís also questions about who actually filed the report.

Erin R. Watson says she never filed a report about a robbery at gunpoint on Tuesday. Miller said his office is aware of Watsonís concerns and they will be checking the security tapes of the Lima Police front desk waiting area to see if the woman who filed the report can be identified as Watson or another woman.

Miller said if the tapes show the woman who filed the report is not Watson, then they would look into charges of filing a false police report.
