4 taken to hospital after crash near Alger

ALGER — Four were hospitalized Sunday night after a two-car crash on state Route 309.

Christopher S. Sneary, 23, and his passenger, Kristin Sneary, 23, both of Kenton, and Norman Hochstettler, 71, and Sandra Hochstettler, 71, both of Harrod, all were taken to Lima Memorial Health System.

No information was available on their conditions Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at 7:45 p.m. Sunday on state Route 309 at the intersection of Hardin County Line Road. Christopher S. Sneary was driving east on state Route 309. Norman Hochstettler was driving south on County Line road, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Hochstettler failed to stop at the intersection and collided with Sneary’s vehicle. He was cited for failure to yield, Patrol Sgt. R.L. Burd said.

Kristin Sneary was a front-seat passenger in the car driven by her husband, Christopher Sneary. Sandra Hochstettler was a front seat passenger in the car driven by her husband Norman Hochstettler, the state patrol reported.
