LIMA - A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 on Friday injured two men, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported Friday.

Justin L. Reynolds, 22, of Venedocia, and Corey D. Holt, 24, of Van Wert, both were taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center for treatment, the patrol reported.

Reynolds was driving south on I-75 just south of Breese Road at 6:14 a.m. when he drove off the left side of the road into the median and struck a retention cable. He had to be extricated from the vehicle, the patrol reported.

Holt was a passenger in the vehicle. Holt tried walking away from the crash and was found about one mile away on Dixie Highway. He had a head injury, the patrol reported.

The crash remains under investigation, and alcohol is a factor in the crash, according to the highway patrol. Both men were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

Traffic was reduced to one lane while the investigation and cleanup took place. This portion of the interstate is not under construction, the patrol reported.
