Rotary gives to help Japan

LImaThe Lima Rotary Club Foundation has contributed $1,000 to Shelter Box USA as part of Rotary District 6600’s efforts to help the survivors of the earthquake and tsunami that hit northern Japan.Each $1,000 box supplies up to 10 people with a tent and lifesaving equipment to use while displaced or homeless. The contents are tailored to the nature and location of the disaster. Boxes generally contain a tent, cooking stove, thermal blanket/mat/tarps, purification tablets, water containers, tools, ropes, dinner ware and children’s school supplies and activity kits.Individuals can contribute by sending a check made out to “MESA-Shelter Box” to:MESA Treasurer, 1092 Bending Brook Lane, Waterville, OH 43566.For information about the Lima Rotary Club visit http://bit.ly/i9cO3W.
