Chamber to hold QR code workshop

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a QR code workshop from 8 to 9 a.m. April 19 at the Putnam County Educational Service Center. Cost is $12 for members or $22 for nonmembers. Fees must be paid in advance. Call the chamber at 419-523-3141 to register.Similar to barcodes used by retailers, QR codes have the ability to hold unlimited amounts of information and their ease of use makes them practical for even the smallest business. When consumers scan a QR code with a smartphone or tablet, they're linked to special offers, coupons, directions, blogs or calls to action.
