FINDLAY

Ohio State Patrol Findlay Post officers engaged in a 20-mile pursuit with a Michigan man along Interstate 75 on Tuesday night.

State Patrol was called at 7:15 p.m. that night for a man who was driving erratically on I 75 without his headlights on. The chase stretched from Findlay to Bowling Green, with Brandon Aldrecht, 26, of Livonia, Mich. driving in excess of 115 mph. Inital phone calls complaining of the driver were in Allen County.

Aldrecht’s vehicle came to a stop near Bowling Green, when officers from the Bowling Green post threw out road spikes on the highway, effectively flattening the front tires of his car and pulling over into a nearby ditch.

He was arrested with failure to comply and was suspected to be under the influence of drugs.
