WAPAKONETA — A Dayton man was arrested Thursday night after he brought $1,000 in heroin and crack cocaine to a confidential informant in Wapakoneta.
The Auglaize/Mercer County Grand Lake Drug Task Force members, Wapakoneta Police, Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Special Response Team arrested the man, 32, at about 7 p.m. Thursday.
Information gathered by the Task Force indicates the man was a regular supplier for the area. An adult female and young child were also with the man when he transported the drugs but were released after the arrest.
The arrest is a continuation of the Drug Task Force and local police and sheriff’s office battle on drugs coming into the county.
“We are doing all we can with what resources we have,” Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon said. “These are serious dangerous drugs and cause serious problems in this county and surrounding counties.”
