ONU pharmacy students host Drug Take Back Day

ADA — Ohio Northern University’s chapter of the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists will conduct “Medication Disposal Day” on April 27.

The Drug Enforcement Agency Drug Take Back Day, will last from 9 a.m. to noon, in the ONU parking lot on the corner of South Main Street and East College Avenue.

Working in conjunction with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, North Central Ohio Solid Waste District and Hardin Memorial Hospital, Medication Disposal Day is an effort to safely dispose of old or unneeded prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Pharmacists and law enforcement will be present. All disposals are confidential and are not limited to pills. Solids, patches, liquids and needles will be accepted. Expired vitamins and over-the-counter medications will also be accepted.
