OTTAWA — Since celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2008, St. Rita’s Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center has been awarding five $500 college scholarships to high school seniors who attend a Putnam County high school.

This year’s winners are Audrey Rieger, of Ottoville High School; Stijn Wezel, of Miller City High School; Melissa Warnimont, of Ottawa Glandorf High School; Sienna Gerdeman, of Columbus Grove High School; and Caleb Barrera, of Leipsic High School.

Each student had to write 500 words or less about why he or she chose a career in health care. Awards will be presented at a noon luncheon today.
