LIMA - In an effort to curb bullying, Lima Malls Walk with a Doc program will host a special presentation, Bully Busters, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Bully Busters, geared towards families with children, takes place during National Youth Violence Prevention Week. The presentation features Dr. Richard Camino, of St. Ritas Psychiatric Associates, and Donna Dickman, of the Partnership for Violence Free Families.

Parents and children will learn about the effects of bullying and ways to prevent it in their circle of friends. Bully Busters is free and open to the public and will be held in the malls center court.

According to national statistics from StopBullying.gov, 77 percent of students in the U.S. are bullied mentally, verbally or physically.
