ODOTís construction season is in full swing the week ahead.Beginning Wednesday, state Route 65 will be reduced to one lane for resurfacing between Lutz Road and state Route 115. The work is scheduled through Friday. Work is being performed by Allen County ODOT. From Wednesday through May 20, state Route 501 northbound at Fort Amanda Road will be reduced to one lane for resurfacing. Work is being performed by Allen County ODOT. State Route 81 remains closed 1.5 miles east of state Route 66 over the Auglaize River for replacement of a bridge deck. Traffic is detoured onto state Routes 66, 117, Eastown Road and back to state Route 81. Eagle Bridge, of Sidney, is replacing the bridge deck. One eastbound lane of Elida Road remains closed from Robb Avenue to Eastown Road for a safety upgrade project. The two-way center-turn lane is marked as a travel lane for eastbound traffic only in the immediate area of work. Vertical reflective panels have been placed to block westbound traffic from using the center turn lane. Crews are working in the zone most hours of the day and night. Motorists are asked to drive cautiously through the area and remain aware of equipment moving in and out of the work zone. The project will continue until September. Work is being performed by SET Construction, Lowellville.
