BLUFFTON

A man was seriously injured following a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. 30, just east of Township Road 52 near Orange Township in Hancock County on Tuesday evening.

Dean H. Corrigan, 63, of Millersburg, drove a 1998 Ford Ranger eastbound just after 4:45 p.m. on Route 30 when the car went off the north side of the roadway, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The car went off the right side of the roadway and crossed the center line. He overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll over. It came to rest on its wheels on the south side of the roadway.

Corrigan had to be extricated from the car and was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center via medical helicopter, where he is in serious condition as of 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a nursing supervisor.

Ada-Liberty Township Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.

Deputies are still investigating the crash.
