LIMA - The Allen County Retired Teachers Association is accepting project proposals for teacher grants the group began giving last year.
The group offers money to assist active teachers with innovative educational projects for their classroom or for school-wide projects. Five $200 grants will be awarded in April. Recipients will be asked to attend an association luncheon in June or August to explain the project and how it impacted pupils.
Applications are available from local school principals. The deadline to submit is March 1. Applications should be sent to Barb Hochstetler, 3135 Tawa Drive, Lima, OH 45806, or emailed to bhochstetleroo1@woh.rr.com.
