SIDNEY -- Two young boys were taken to Dayton Children’s Medical Center after being hurt in a Wednesday afternoon crash that also injured an adult.

Trooper James Davis, of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Piqua post, said the boys, ages 6 and 9, were hurt when the 1988 Ford Bronco they were riding in was hit from behind while stopped at an intersection on Fair Road southwest of Sidney.

One of the boys was ejected from the vehicle, Davis said. The person driving the Bronco was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. Names were not released and conditions could not be obtained. Davis said the victims were all from Sidney.

A front-seat passenger refused treatment and a third child was not injured.

The driver of the second vehicle, a Chevrolet Blazer, was uninjured.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was still investigating the crash, which happened at about 3:55 p.m. at the intersection with Kuther Road.
