LIMA — A 31-year-old woman was attacked and robbed early Wednesday by four young men who were reportedly dressed as women.
According to a desk officer at the Lima Police Department, the incident took place around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of West Vine and South Elizabeth streets. The woman was walking in the area when the men attacked and robbed her, the officer said.
A police report identified the woman as Heather L. Drake, 31, of Lima. The desk officer said Drake was slightly injured in the attack.
Attempts to reach Lt. Jim Baker, of the Lima Police Department, for additional comment on the incident were unsuccessful Wednesday.
Additional information, including how Drake was injured, whether any weapons were involved and what was stolen was not immediately available either through the officer or the report.
Four men were arrested following the incident, according to the police report.
The police report named Markus A. Page, 20, of Lima, Marquis D. Taylor, 19, of Lima, Ricardo D. Williams, 19, of Lima, and James M. Pulley, 19, of Columbus, as the suspects who were in custody.
No information was available from the Police Department about whether charges were filed. No charges pertaining to the incident had been filed with Lima Municipal Court as of the end of the business day Wednesday, according to online court records.
