LIMAResidents seeing apparently hazardous materials cleanup in Lima’s south side shouldn’t be alarmed today. It’s only a test.The Allen County Emergency Planning Committee and LASER Security Task Force are engaging in a full-scale training exercise from 9 a.m. to noon today at the Shawnee Township building, Ashland Chemicals (Lima BDO plant) and PotashCorp Lima, according to the Allen County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.Several state dignitaries were expected to observe the exercise, including representatives from Ohio Homeland Security, Ohio Emergency Management and the Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency Region V office in Chicago.
