Ottawa The Putnam County Dog Shelter will host a vaccination clinic and adopt-a-thon from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 20, at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

A vet will exam your dog and update its rabies, bordetella, distemper and parvo vaccines for $35. Puppy vaccines and heart worm tests will also be available at a small cost.

Rescue groups from Northwest Ohio will have dogs available for adoption. Dogs of all sizes will be available, making this a great opportunity to see various breeds that make great family pets.

There will also be an aluminum can drive and raffle items to win. All proceeds from the event will help dogs in need with the care and love they so much deserve so they can find a home sooner.
