BATH TOWNSHIP - Bath Township Fire Department estimates more than $200,000 in damage to an attached garage that caught fire Sunday night, including the damage done to two cars parked inside.

The fire department was dispatched to 2611 N. Thayer Road at 7:06 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters were able to contain the fire in about a half hour. No one was hurt in the incident. The homeowners, David and Linda Boyles, have their home insured. The home also sustained heat, smoke and water damage.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, although it does not appear to be suspicious. Bath Township continues to investigate the incident.
