BLUFFTON The Bluffton emergency services, as a precautionary measure, are preparing additional sandbags in case Friday’s predicted rainfall results in additional flooding this weekend. Sandbags will be available between 6 and 8 p.m. today at the fire/EMS building. Volunteers may be available to deliver a limited number of bags, but the public shouyld try to provide its own transportation for the bags. The public should anticipate keeping the bags through the spring season. An announcement will be made in the coming months as to where and when the bags may be returned. The village does not anticipate retrieving bags from residents in the near future. Residents are reminded to pay close attention to changing weather conditions and water levels in their neighborhoods and to be prepared to take immediate measures should the need arise. This is only a precautionary measure for residents; nothing has been mandated at this time.
