School board finalizes levy ask

ELIDA - Elida School Board took its second and final vote on a November levy request Friday.


The board will ask voters to approve a 5.45-mill levy that will raise $1.9 million a year for the school district. The board approved the request 4-1, as board member Brian Anders voted against the levy request.


The district is asking for slightly less than what it did in May, when a 5.95 mill levy would have raised $2.1 million.
