LIMA Representatives from the office of U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) will hold a roundtable and listening session with local veterans from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday in the council meeting room at the Lima Municipal Center, 50 Town Square.Veterans are encouraged to discuss concerns and ideas, including ones involving the Department of Veterans Affairs, access to care, claims processing, information dissemination and veterans’ service improvements. In December, Brown announced a new initiative to connect unemployed veterans with jobs in the booming natural gas industry. That initiative kicked off earlier this month. Brown and Chesapeake Energy Corporation hosted a jobs open house in North Canton.
