LIMA — The Lima Police Department dealt with two armed robbery reports in the same evening during the weekend, but they’re not believed to be connected.

According to police reports, the first occurred around 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of St. Johns Avenue and East Second Street. A 25-year-old Happy’s Pizza deliveryman told police he was robbed at gunpoint, with perpetrators stealing his cellphone and $60 cash. The victim reported there were two robbers.

And then, around 2 a.m. Sunday, a 23-year-old man reported that an armed man robbed him inside a residence in the 700 block of Madison Avenue, about a half-mile away from the first crime. His cellphone was taken, and there was only one robber listed.

No one has been arrested in connection to either crime as of late Sunday.
