LIMA — Families can now apply for the Empty Stocking Fund, a program providing assistance to those who can’t provide a proper Christmas to their families.
The applications are available at the Salvation Army, 614 E. Market St. Applications must be completed by Wednesday.
The program is a collaboration between The Lima News, Bradfield Community Center, Cheryl Allen Southside Community Center and the Salvation Army. Stories profiling families’ needs appear in The Lima News each day between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
