300 block of Harrison Avenue, Lima — On Thursday, a 27-year-old woman reported she was a fraud victim. She received a phone call from someone claiming to be with a U.S. government grant office. He claimed the office would send an $8,000 grant if she first sent a $499 security fee that would be quickly returned. She wired the money through Western Union and did not receive any money back.
600 block of South Scott Street, Lima — Early Friday, a 24-year-old woman reported her child's father, a 39-year-old man, assaulted her.
1100 block of Hazel Avenue, Lima — On Wednesday, the Lima Police SWAT team served a search warrant at a residence. No one was arrested.
500 block of East Vine Street, Lima — On Thursday, a 46-year-old man reported an unknown person scratched obscene words all over his vehicle.
600 block of South Elizabeth Street, Lima — On Thursday, a 68-year-old woman reported a burglar took more than $300 in items from her home. A 48-year-old man was subsequently arrested.
300 block of Fenway Drive, Lima — On Thursday, a 37-year-old woman reported an unknown person stole outdoor furniture from her porch.
