Police calls as of 9 a.m. Friday, May 3 from the Allen County Sheriff's Office and Lima Police Department:



300 block of Harrison Avenue, Lima On Thursday, a 27-year-old woman reported she was a fraud victim. She received a phone call from someone claiming to be with a U.S. government grant office. He claimed the office would send an $8,000 grant if she first sent a $499 security fee that would be quickly returned. She wired the money through Western Union and did not receive any money back.



600 block of South Scott Street, Lima Early Friday, a 24-year-old woman reported her child's father, a 39-year-old man, assaulted her.



1100 block of Hazel Avenue, Lima On Wednesday, the Lima Police SWAT team served a search warrant at a residence. No one was arrested.



500 block of East Vine Street, Lima On Thursday, a 46-year-old man reported an unknown person scratched obscene words all over his vehicle.



600 block of South Elizabeth Street, Lima On Thursday, a 68-year-old woman reported a burglar took more than $300 in items from her home. A 48-year-old man was subsequently arrested.



300 block of Fenway Drive, Lima On Thursday, a 37-year-old woman reported an unknown person stole outdoor furniture from her porch.
