CRIDERSVILLE — Cridersville village council has scheduled a public hearing to talk to citizens about the possibility of raising water and sewer rates.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 13 at the Cridersville Fire Department. Council members are looking into a proposal to raise the rate by $5 a month for each household to offset rising costs, said council President Tony Zuppardo.
“Nothing has been voted on. This is simply an informational meeting just to hear people’s input,” Zuppardo said.
He said the village has just more than 1,100 people and about 800 homes, not including trailers or apartments.
