ADAThe Ohio Northern University Black Law Student Association’s 12th annual Diversity Forum will begin at 11 a.m. April 20 in the ONU Pettit College of Law Moot Court Room.The forum, with the theme of “Being a Rainmaker Determines your Fate, so make it Rain or Clear it Out,” will feature Alvin E. Mathews Jr., a 1987 ONU law graduate and a member of Bricker & Eckler’s litigation group, and Sheria Holmes, a 2009 ONU law graduate and a contract attorney at Memphis Area Legal Services.As a former assistant disciplinary counsel, Mathews uses his professional responsibility experience to help lawyers avoid ethical risks in their practices through preventative advisory options, grievance investigations and formal disciplinary proceedings.Holmes has spent her law career focusing on administrative law at Memphis Area Legal Services as well as probate and family law. She is a member of the William Howard Taft American Inn of Court and the CLE chair-elect for the Memphis Bar Association.
