LIMA — A man wanted in connection with a home robbery two weeks ago in Delphos was arrested during a traffic stop Saturday.
A Lima Police Department officer conducting a routine traffic stop just before 8 a.m. came across one of the men wanted by the Delphos Police Department. Andrew J. Miller, 27, of Fort Jennings, was arrested, Delphos police officials reported.
The Lima officer discovered Miller in the car. Miller had an active warrant on the charge of robbery, a second-degree felony, according to Delphos police officials. Miller was turned over to the Delphos Police Department and taken to the Van Wert County Jail, where he was held without bail.
Investigators said Miller is one of two masked men to enter the home in the 400 block of South Canal Street on July 10. During the robbery, an 18-year-old man was assaulted before the robbers left the home, according to police officials.
Miller was released from prison in April after serving a six-year sentence for a series of commercial break-ins in three counties. Deputies in Putnam County caught him in 2007 breaking into a Fort Jennings business. He tried to flee the scene in a car and led officers on a high-speed chase and was captured a short time later, police reported.
Information on the other robber was not provided.
