ELIDA — Elida is looking for a new village administrator.
Mayor Ron Klopfenstein reported Tuesday the village received about 30 résumés in response to legal advertisements published July 25 and later seeking applicants. From those, a committee has narrowed the field to four candidates — three local and one from out of town. Interviews should begin in coming days, the mayor said.
Council accepted former administrator R. Troy Strayer’s resignation during a brief executive session at its July 24 meeting. Reasons for the resignation were not disclosed. Strayer was unavailable for comment.
