MARION TOWNSHIP — A two-vehicle crash injured one woman Thursday morning at the intersection of Piquad and Grubb roads in Marion Township.

Officials with the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said a 1994 Jeep was eastbound on Piquad Road when a 2007 white Volvo semi-truck without a trailer that was southbound on Grubb Road pulled out and struck the Jeep. The Volvo then drove off the road and struck a pole.

The 23-year-old woman driving the Jeep, April Hahn, of Spencerville, was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center, officials said. They said the driver of the Volvo and the passenger of the Volvo both refused treatment. Hahn’s injuries were not life-threatening, officials said.

Post officials said the cause of the accident was the Volvo’s failure to yield, and weather conditions did not play a role in the crash.

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials made an update to the crash report around 2 p.m. Thursday, adding the detail that April Hahn was the driver of the Jeep, not Richard A. Hahn III.
