VAN WERTBoth drivers were injured in a two-car collision at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday on state Route 116 southeast of Van Wert.A station wagon driven by John Ruddock, 79, of Van Wert, collided with a sedan driven by Dorothy Gleckler, 79, also of Van Wert, at the intersection of Hospital Drive and Jennings Road, said Lt. Raymond F. Haas of the Van Wert post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.Both drivers were taken to Van Wert County Hospital by Middle Point EMS. Both later were transferred to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. Ruddock was listed in critical condition and Gleckler was in serious condition Tuesday night, a St. Rita’s nursing supervisor said.Both vehicles were extensively damaged and were towed from the scene.The Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.
