CelinaThe About Boating Safely course is being offered April 14 at Grand Lake St. Marys and May 12 at Indian Lake. Both sessions will begin at 8 a.m. and end about 4:30 p.m.Lessons are designed for boaters of all ages and experience. Topics include boating laws, safety equipment, boat handling and rules of the road. This eight-hour class follows the requirements of the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and meets state educational requirements for boaters born on or after Jan. 1, 1982.The Celina class will be held in the Richardson-Bretz Building at 119 W. Fulton St. The Indian Lake location will be the Coast Guard Auxiliary Station at the Mound Wood Boat Ramp, 7490 Edgewood Ave. The fee for both classes is $30.Pre-registration is required for both courses. Space in the class may be reserved by calling Kevin Mast 419-305-5807 at Grand Lake, or Anita Daniel at 937-778-1616 or 937-726-6572 for Indian Lake.
