SIDNEY - A Kentucky man was arrested for having more than 1,000 prescription pills, 5.4 pounds of marijuana and drug-making ingredients following a traffic stop on Interstate 75.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit pulled over Eric L. Cato, of Louisville, Ky., Saturday. He was was traveling southbound on I-75 at the 91 mile marker in Sidney.
Sheriff’s Office K9 Colt indicated there could be illegal drugs in the back of the vehicle. That’s where deputies found the marijuana, pills, $1,200 cash, four bottles of an illegal liquid and other miscellaneous drug-making ingredients.
Cato was arrested and charged with drug trafficking. The sheriff’s office was assisted by Sidney Police Department.
