HANCOCK COUNTY -- Officials at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said a tractor-trailer overturned in the front yard of a state Route 613 residence after being hit by a 2002 Toyota whose driver ran a stop sign.

Melissa Kirkendall, 23, of North Baltimore, and Andrew E. Fry, 36, of Paulding, were both taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with unknown injuries, according the Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said Kirkendall did not stop at the stop sign on county Road 140 at state Route 613. She crashed into the side of Fry’s 1999 Mack tractor, which went off the north side of the road and jackknifed before overturning.

The crash remained under investigation.
