BLUFFTON — A benefit to raise money for Brenda Kohli Anderson’s battle against cancer will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at 736 N. Main St., Bluffton.
The event includes food, fun and entertainment for everyone who attends the fundraiser. Scheduled events include performances from Ace Down Band and Gracious Sin, raffles, 50-50 drawing, corn-hole tournament, bingo and a bake sale. A meal is also offered, costing $7 for individual tickets and children under 5 eating free.
All proceeds go toward helping Anderson pay the accumulated costs that accompany cancer, such as her treatments, tests and trips out of town.
A bike run will also be available for motorcycle enthusiasts. The ride will commence from Thirsty’s Bar in Beaverdam at 11 a.m., and the ride will finish at Luke’s Bar and Grill in Bluffton. The first bike takes off at noon and costs $10 for a single rider and $15 for couples.
Nicknamed “Songbyrd,” Anderson took great pride in her work at the Findlay Publishing Company and also enjoys using her artistic side, whether it’s through singing, writing songs or playing music. Friends describe Anderson as an amazing caregiver who goes above and beyond everyone’s expectations. She loves to smile, joke and provide a simple hug. She prays every day that she will beat this cancer and return to her normal life and job.
