Monford gets May trial in Met Housing case

LIMA A local pastor and program director for a sober living home is scheduled to stand trial May 28 on 10 felony charges related to his work as a housing inspector with the Allen Metropolitan Housing Authority.

Bruce A. Monford Sr., 49, had a pretrial Thursday in Allen County Common Pleas Court. He is charged with eight counts of tampering with records and two counts of theft in office.

Monford is accused of falsifying, destroying, removing, concealing, altering, defacing or mutilating writing, computer software, data or records belonging to the Housing Authority on multiple occasions between Jan. 23 and March 16. The theft in office charges allege Monford committed a theft of property or services valued between $1,000 and $7,500 between Jan. 23 and March 30.
