LIMA - Hundreds of customers were left without power after a dump truck got into an American Electric Power facility at 1301 Glenn Avenue in Lima, AEP reported Monday. AEP officials said the dump truck was intended to do work for the reconstruction of the Interstate 75 overpass nearby their facility.

Around 9 p.m. Sunday, power went off for 659 AEP customers, they reported. Those affected were south of Ninth Street, east of Bowman Road, north of Albert Street and west of Main Street in Lima.

AEP had restored power to 537 customers as of 10:45 a.m. Monday, and they estimated power would be restored later in the morning to the remaining customers.
