LIMA — City Council’s Safety Services Committee will discuss safety and dog attacks on the Ottawa Riverwalk.

Council referred the issue after State Street resident Karen Bacon spoke on the issue and referred to two dogs mauling a man on the Riverwalk April 15.

Bacon said she’s used the walk many times, and loose dogs were the only problem she’s experienced. Bacon also made suggestions for changes to the city’s vicious-dog ordinance.
