LIMA — Two men filed a lawsuit this week against a local bar, saying the business owner did not do enough to stop others from assaulting them while inside the establishment.

Matthew and Jeremy Wright, brothers from Lima, filed the lawsuit this week against Harry Larschied, whom the men identify as the owner of Harry’s Hideaway & Patio on North Cable Road. They are seeking more than $25,000.

It’s the third lawsuit against the bar in the past year by people alleging they were assaulted inside.

The Wrights said they were inside the bar June 27 to 28 when other patrons attacked them. The brothers said the attack was unprovoked, the lawsuit said.

The men said Larschied has an obligation to operate a safe bar. They said he did not provide adequate security inside the bar. They said they suffered severe injuries and have thousands of dollars in medical bills.

Anthony Lane filed a lawsuit against the bar in January over an assault he said happened July 5. In June, Michael Hawk filed a lawsuit against the bar saying he was assaulted Dec. 14, 2011. Both men said they were assaulted by security at the bar.
