LIMA — Fifth Ward Councilor Teresa Adams has filed petitions to seek re-election to her seat on Lima City Council.
Adams is finishing up her first elected term on council. She was previously appointed to fill an unexpired term. Adams filed her petitions Wednesday with the Allen County Board of Elections.
“I enjoy representing the people of the 5th Ward. I still get excited to go to the meetings,” Adams said. “When the phone rings, to be able to speak with residents, respond, meet them and take their concerns to the city, I’d like to be able to continue that.”
Adams is the third candidate to file petitions for races in the city this spring. Mayor David Berger filed for an unprecedented seventh term as Lima mayor, and Lima school board member C. Ann Miles has filed to run for the 7th Ward council seat.
