LIMA - The Lima school board officially accepted Dr. Kenneth Clemens' resignation from the Rhodes State College board of trustees Thursday. Clemens said he would resign if the college board approved a new contract for President Debra McCurdy. It did so Tuesday. Lima City Schools is the largest public school entity in the county, so the school board has to approve the resignation. The board will also eventually approve his replacement. Rhodes will submit a name to Superintendent Karel Oxley, who will first get approval from Delphos schools, Bluffton schools and the Allen County Educational Service Center. Once she has their approval, it goes to the Lima school board. Rhodes has not submitted any names yet. Oxley said she had heard from people interested and has passed the names onto the college.
